Welcome to the ZODB Wiki. This is a place to gather useful information and present long-term plans about the Zope Object Database.
Note: Usage of Launchpad
We have started a project for the ZODB in launchpad (http://launchpad.net/zodb). Bug reporting and managing feature requests and release planning has moved there.
Status
The launchpad project tracks the current project status.
For information about older releases, have a look at the old CurrentStatus page.
Download
Downloads may now be found at http://www.python.org/pypi/ZODB3 . For older downloads see http://www.zope.org/Products/ZODB3
Bug Reports
- Please submit bugs in our launchpad project: https://bugs.launchpad.net/zodb/+bugs
Note: We have previously used the Zope collector (with topic `database`, http://collector.zope.org/Collectors/Zope) and much early we also used a ZODB SF bug tracker, both are obsolete but useful for historical references.
Feature requests and proposals
If you want to propose features or changes, please write the proposal in this wiki and create a corresponding request in launchpad and link it to your proposal.
See the ListOfProposals. (And add yours!)
Documentation
See also: http://wiki.zope.org/zope2/ZODB
See the separate Documentation section.
There is also an Old ZODB Wiki, that has some interesting ideas, some of which have come to fruition.
Some documentation is also available in the ZODBAddOns section
HistoricalPages contain information that is largely out of date, but might be interesting for reference.
A misconception about the ZODB - a nice article, 2008/06
Community
- Discussion occurs on the zodb-dev mailing list.
- The code lives in the zope.org subversion repository at http://svn.zope.org
- There are some UserPages where users of ZODB talk about their use cases.
